Feast of Saint Andrew – November 21–30

The Feast of Saint Andrew, held from November 21 to 30, is Ajijic’s most important patronal festival and the best time to see the town in full celebration. Each day, a different trade guild organizes the decorations, mass, procession, fireworks tower, and music, ensuring that florists, bakers, builders, gardeners, musicians, and merchants all play a part. From dawn serenades with mariachis to nighttime fairs in the plaza, there is constant activity: live bands, dancing, food stalls, rides, and reunions with family and friends. The church of Saint Andrew welcomes hundreds of worshippers daily, and on November 30—the main feast day—a special mass and the largest fireworks display close the novena. Stay at Hotel Casa Blanca Ajijic and enjoy Saint Andrew’s Festival just a short walk from the church and plaza.
